The Employers’ Confederation of Zimbabwe (EMCOZ) joined NSSA and partners at the 62nd Safety and Health at Work Conference, held under the theme “Occupational Safety and Health: Technology and the Future of Work.”

In his address, EMCOZ President Mr Mbauya commended NSSA for hosting this vital platform that highlights how technology can transform workplaces into safer, smarter, and more humane environments.

He emphasized that as Zimbabwe embraces automation and digitalisation, social dialogue between Government, Business, and Labour remains key to building trust, accountability, and prevention driven safety systems.
“Technology must not replace people it must protect them.”
EMCOZ reaffirmed its support for the Occupational Safety and Health Bill, welcomed efforts to include artisanal and small scale miners in OSH initiatives, and underscored the importance of mental health, training, and reskilling.

Together, let’s work towards Vision Zero zero accidents, zero harm, and zero occupational disease.
